"When you achieve the mind of a Servant of God, you achieve the highest position of mankind on earth!"
Throughout the life of Jesus, He shared many parables with the crowds and His disciples. Many times it seems to have been His purpose to conceal things as much as to reveal them. Jesus wanted His followers then and wants His followers today to ask,
"What are do you want me to understand? What do you want me to do?"
This needs to be one of our prayers each day!
The greatest skill of a Servant is to understand the will of the Master!
When we serve people for God, the important thing is that we are doing it for God, not how big or small the service seems. Serving others for God opens doors to share the good news about Jesus!
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart; don't depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take." ~ Proverbs 3:5-6
"Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him..." ~ Philippians 2:5-9
"The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord..." ~ Matthew 10:24-25
"All Servants obey their Master's commands. Good Servants anticipate their Masters' commands before they are spoken. A great Servant know the Master and respond to Him!" ~ Gary Conner
